The Devils Kitchen Visit
The Devils Kitchen, the plant based food manufacturer from Nailsworth, came to visit Business & Enterprise and Food Preparation & Nutrition Year 10 students.
Barry the founder, talked about setting up, getting funding from Dale Vince of Ecotricity & Forest Green Rovers, the way a business develops including marketing and new markets; they are about to have their food go on the menu at Legoland.
Gavin the development chef, talked about his chemistry background and how they developed a plant based burger that does not include all the major allergens and is more nutritious than a beef burger.
Everyone got to try at least two different burgers and give feedback on a new one in development.
They also talked about the green credentials of the business that is 100% run on green energy and any profits go to developing a green education programme with primary schools across the country.
